WELCOME
The Old Southendian Hockey Club was established in 1921 and is based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The club regularly fields six men’s teams and two ladies teams every Saturday, meaning there is always a team to match your ability, whether you’re a national team player or someone who has never picked up a hockey stick. All abilities are catered for with a full complement of qualified coaches providing organised coaching sessions for all levels. We have an active, successful and popular youth policy with coaching sessions for children aged 6-13. We also run a men's indoor hockey team, two summer hockey league teams and an over-40s team in the national cup each year.
The club considers its facilities to be amongst the best in the East of England. We have a private clubhouse that has been recently refurbished and includes quality changing rooms with hot showers, private bar, communal area and a balcony overlooking our premium all-weather pitch.
New players of any age or ability are always welcome. We have a lot to offer, whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, whether you're interested in playing competitive hockey or just interested in making friends and enjoying the atmosphere.
